About the role:

As Steep's inaugural Account Executive, you'll be at the forefront of our sales initiatives, championing the adoption of Steep in our target segments. Your success will be central to Steep’s next chapter of growth, and for the wider disruption of yesterday’s data and analytics practices.

What you'll do:

  • Drive (and close) multi-stakeholder sales processes to grow Steep’s customer base.
  • Build your pipeline by proactively building relationships with data leaders in Europe and the US.
  • Educate data leaders on the benefits and necessity of joining the semantic layer movement.
  • Craft and deliver compelling pitches that clearly communicate the value of our product.
  • Engage with senior decision-makers, earn their trust and influence transformative decisions.

Who you are:

  • Passionate promoter: You thrive on meeting new people and winning them over. You're not just selling a product; you're advocating for a movement that transforms how organizations use data.
  • Self-starter: In a fast-paced startup, you navigate ambiguity with confidence and drive initiatives forward with little oversight. You’re a next-steps-person. When there’s no playbook, you just do it.
  • Proven performer: You have a proven record of consistently meeting or exceeding your quota. Your experience is backed by strong training in a methodology like MEDDICC or Challenger Sale.
  • Data savvy: Ideally, you’ve previously advised and sold to data leaders - and you enjoy going deep in conversations with them about modern data stacks and analytics tools.
  • Skilled communicator: You demonstrate the ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively at all organizational levels, including with C-level executives.
