Marketing Manager (B2B)

Location: Stockholm

The Marketing Manager will work closely with the founding team and CEO to develop the company's marketing and go-to-market. You will build our ability to reach more customers, tell our story and create leads that are excited to try us out.

As the first Marketing Manager at Steep, you will find and engage with our audience: business and analytics leaders at modern tech companies. Starting with a strong product and brand, we want to develop a playbook for how to reach these users at companies across the Nordics and globally.

With our experience of leading analytics and design at some of Europe's best tech companies, we can help customers with both a great product and trusted advice. And through our founder's and investors' connections, we are able to tap into a lot of networks to build our audience. In short, we have the fundamentals and we are looking for great marketing execution to match.

This is a great opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial role and to develop the marketing side of a business from the ground up. You will be running fast in a high-potential startup and get the chance to work closely with a highly experienced team. All modern companies need to be data-driven to succeed, and analytics has become a natural part of modern work. Yet managers are unable to access data on their own and are dependent on data analysts to get answers, and analysts are stuck answering the same basic questions over and over. From our experience of working at Spotify, iZettle, Paypal and Kry, we got frustrated that the tools out there are not keeping up. We are on a mission to change that.

Steep's mission is to make analytics easy, so any role can do more themselves and together. And we are helping smart data professionals to serve large organizations with full control. We are combining data and design to build the new standard for business analytics, with the ambition to become the preferred analytics-and-workplace tool for tech companies globally.

What you will own

  • Build awareness of Steep in the Nordics and globally and help us reach our audience in a way that generates leads

  • Plan, execute and evaluate our activities in all relevant channels - events, workshops, site, blog, social, slack community and email

  • Develop marketing material to fit the audience and channel. Hands-on copywriting.

  • Plan and execute marketing events

  • Collaborate with design to develop flexible marketing assets

Must-have's

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Marketing or Business

  • 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Strong marketing skills and sharp writing

  • Experience working with multiple digital channels and events

  • Comfortable with moving fast and being highly productive

Nice-to-have's

  • Experience of startups and tech companies is a big plus

  • Entrepreneurial experience

  • Experience of event planning and community management
